Preservation
Along with Colorado Preservation Inc., SPNHA and the Park County Department and Heritage and Tourism have been active in the preservation of the historic Tarryall-Cline Ranch in between Jefferson and Como, Colorado. The Tarryall-Cline Ranch is built in the traditional Pueblo Revival style, which is considered rare for ranch properties. The ranch house was constructed in 1928 by Foster Cline, Sr., a prominent Denver attorney, and was owned and associated with the Cline family for most of its history. In recent years, 1,635 acres of the west portion of the ranch were purchased by Park County with the help of various funding sources.
In line with these efforts to preserve the Tarryall-Cline Ranch, Park County is accepting donations as we develop plans for the future recreation center at the ranch. Our goals are to create a center inside of the building where people can come to visit and learn about the recreational opportunities present around the ranch, but also adopt sustainable habits to help the environment thrive. The building would support a visitor center, as well as a classroom to help support these goals. If you are ready to see the Tarryall-Cline Ranch go from one of Colorado’s most endangered places to one that can thrive as well as support the community, we encourage you to donate today! Help us turn this piece of property into one that can really make a difference here in Park County, Colorado!
